From San Gil, we took the night bus in 12h to Santa Marta on the Caribbean coast and here is a short taxi ride to the fishing village of Taganga. It lies in a bay surrounded by mountains. Just up the street on the waterfront promenade is paved, Otherwise, here is only dusty gravel roads in the small town. In between we see running around donkey carts and chickens. And in the evening the fishermen boats and you can buy fresh fish.
Wir haben 3 Nächte im Gästehaus Casa D'mer usual and made from here on a day trip in the Tayrona National Park. This is one of the most famous parks of Colombia. After an hour drive we arrived there and started our hike through the forest. At the very beginning we stumbled across a street of leaf-cutter ants. This is very interesting to see the little ants carry pieces of leaves, die bis zu 5 mal größer sind als sie selbst. We went uphill through the jungle and from, at various beaches and coves over to the beach Cabo San Juan, where we first needed a cool refreshment in the sea. It was pretty hot. After a break in the shade of the coconut trees we headed on our way back. We have also discovered some small monkeys and a couple of capybaras in the thicket. Supposedly it here also give Jaguars. Unfortunately, we have not seen, but maybe they have indeed watching us. 😉
The next day we had to once again do a bit Organisationskram, Wash clothes, Blog, Planning photos and more travel.
On Friday morning we heard loud music and noise from the street. The carnival was at the door and the residents Tagangas made a little move to a place on the waterfront. Here they danced and celebrated omitted in their colorful dresses. That was for us, here's a little taste of the Carnival in Barranquilla, because that was our next destination.
