Am Phra Nang Beach

The night ferry from Koh Tao to Surat Thani was like a hostel with a giant dormitory. About 40 bunk beds stood in a large room and we could well until the arrival of the next morning at 5:30 clock sleep. Theo with a song we were then taken to our bus, who arrived somewhere near Krabi to 2h drive. The minivan then it went to the jetty and from there the last piece by long tail boat to Railay Beach.
Railay Beach is surrounded by high limestone cliffs Peninsula. Therefore, to get there and back by boat only. We were lucky, that was just flood and we were driven directly to the bank. At low tide you must still run a bit over the Wadden. But the downside is also at high tide, that the walk is completely flooded and you have to watch, not getting wet from top to bottom. Since we had pre-booked a room, So we ran first wet foot along the shore and then to the other side of the island. There is a beautiful sandy beach, den Railay Beach West, but of course the prices are accordingly of the accommodation. Before we further investigated, we had breakfast first. But the breakfast prices were beach surcharge. Thanks to the Internet, we then quickly found a good and cheap accommodation, but lay on the east side, there where we had come. So we walked all the way back and eventually checked into a beautiful bungalow on Railay Garden View Resort a. In the afternoon drew to a thunderstorm and the rain did not stop until the night on…
On Saturday morning we again had better weather and walked after breakfast to Phra Nang Cave on Phra Nang Beach. This cave is a sacred site. Here is a phallic shrine with innumerable phallic symbols.
Phra Nang Beach is also a paradise for climbers and so we could see some climb the steep rock walls. The view of the sea from Phra Nang Beach is very nice from, protrude as many rocks in the water. So here also quite a few tour boats pass, especially with Asian tourists, the strangely always wore their life jackets also Lannd. In the afternoon there was rain again, no wonder, it is the rainy season here, too. And thus we see rest of the day with film, Surf internet and then spent another dinner.
By Sunday afternoon, it has also been raining again. For the afternoon and evening, but then the weather has predicted no rain. This good prognosis we wanted to use to go to a lookout point. In which “move” is the wrong word, because we had to climb right. A rooted and rocky road it was very steep upward. To help, there were ropes with knots, hanging down over ledges. On exposed roots, Rock edges and the nodes of the ropes we dangled our way up. The views from here to the two beaches Railey Beach East and West Railey Beach was pretty. But then moved again but unfortunately dark clouds. We had planned to descend to a hidden lagoon, but it started to rain and thunderstorms. We made our way back therefore prefer. The rain grew more intense and the “Way” slowly turned into a small red-brown creek. Piece by piece we worked our way back down, What was not so easy. Finally, we are well again reached the bottom, and the rain had washed us from the red earth clean again. Since we were completely wet anyway, We went straight for another round on Phra Nang beach swim. And on the way home we bought Thai food to take away and eat comfortably after a cold shower.
On Monday we have for the first time “right” down to the beach. Railay Beach West also has a really beautiful setting: a bay with soft white sand is framed by high, steep cliffs. But we do not have long endured, and then moved again dark clouds. A snake we then discovered another next to the beach. But it is a tree quickly fled high. After dinner, I was feeling pretty bad and unfortunately we had to move the next day our onward journey to Malaysia. The ticket was fortunately transferred free and so unfortunately I spent all day Tuesday in bed. Seppel wanted something to get food, but before our bungalow door lurked a serpent. She was very stubborn and let scare is not so easy. With a few glasses of water, we were able to wash away but then somehow. After I had recovered again, we could continue our journey towards Malaysia Wednesday morning…
