Luang Prabang is located in the mountainous north of Laos and is an ancient royal city, which was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is known for its picturesque relaxed atmosphere, French colonial architecture, interesting night markets, viele Restaurants, Wats und Buddhas.

During a tour of the little town, we were on the mountain “Phu Si ". It is 130m high and you must climb 328 steps. From the top you have a beautiful view of the town and the forested mountains behind, the Mekong and the Nam Khan River. At the foot of the mountain, there are many Buddhas and Buddha's Footprint. At the summit is a small temple built.

Since we had only one room for two nights, We have interrupted our afternoon tour of the city and just looking for a room for the following night. Then we went on the Mekong and Nam Khan river along. Stopover we have appealed to a French cafe. There we have cheesecake, Taste chocolate croissant and coffee can.

Our path led through a bamboo bridge over the Nam Khan. The bridge must be rebuilt every year after the rainy season. In a cozy restaurant on the other side, we then sipped a cocktail. About the night market we went back to accommodation. The night market starts each day and closes against 17 clock to 22 clock. The main road is blocked from extracting. It is there mainly pockets, Textiles, Jewelry and souvenirs available. Unlike Thailand, there is the French-dominated Laos at the food stalls mainly baguettes.

The next day, we have not done much: How had breakfast cozy, are a bit strolled through the city and in the evening we watched the sunset on the Mekong.
